A 1937 Zenith 10-S-156 radio.
Illuminated dial. Note the "bull's eye" tuner at the top. As the signal gets stronger, the black dot moves towards the center circle.
What was a sorry old radio in the trash turned out to be a diamond in the rough. I rescued this old Silvertone 7046 radio from the curb and brought her back to life. They don't make functional art like this anymore and we should save it when we can.
What it looked like when I got it home. Stripped down to the wood, with a few imperfections. No grill cloth or speaker. All parts in a bag.
